The founding of High Hope Montessori School (HHMS) was a result of the passion of the proprietress, who having obtained qualification in education, and observing a gap In the provision of quality nursery and primary education in the Oke-Odo Area of Lagos State, and also inspired by the spirit of God acquired a modest property at a strategies location of the community opposite Oke-Odo Town Hall. Renovation work commenced in earnest on July 1st, 2003 and the school was officially opened on the 29^th September, 2003. At the commencement, the school has two well-trained male teachers, five female teachers with sixty-eight pupils as pioneer pupils including the children of the founder.

As a result of our quality service delivery to our parents, pupils and the community, the Lagos State Ministry of  Education granted the school approval to be a bonafide education center for young pupils in 2005. Since then, our pupils have successfully passed the National Common Entrance Examination with flying colors. Information at our disposal proves that our ex-students have qualified as engineers, doctors, IT professionals, Human Resource personnel etc from higher institutions within and outside the shores of Nigeria. For this, we give God the glory for His grace.

We have continuously grown from strength to strength and this has necessitated the acquisition of additional infrastructure to cope with the expansion. To enhance the quality of service delivery of our teaching and non-teaching staff, we embark on continuous professional education through seminars and in-service training. This initiative is yielding positive results in the academic performance of our pupils’ in internal and external examinations.

Our proprietress has obtained her MACTE certification dedicated to improving academic degrees and certificate program for Montessori professional educators, recognized by the United States Department of Education.

We are committed to taking early childhood education to higher standard in Oke-Odo in particular and Lagos State in general.
